Israeli shoegazers Vaadat Charigim are coming back to Brooklyn this spring with a show at Palisades on the 30th of March, tickets are still available. The band, whose name roughly translates as committee of the abnormal, released their second album, Sinking As A Stone, on Burger Records last year, and you can listen to a couple of songs from it below. They sing in Hebrew but to see these it gives the songs an otherworldly quality that befits the genre. The trio just released a short documentary about their first tour of the US in 2014, which you can watch at the bottom of this post.
Other bands on the bill at Palisades are Stove, Peaer, and Doubting Thomas Cruise Control, which should prove to be a fine evening. Sinking Like a Stone was unfairly overlooked in many end-of-year lists (including our own), but I think a lot to do with that has been distribution. I haven’t seen a single copy of the record in New York, all the more reason to see the band live and snag one at the merch stand.

Vaadat Charigim also hit these other cities in March.
Thanks.
