DNA has put together a very useful – albeit troubling – interactive map that helps New Yorkers visualize the construction that’s underway, or planned, in their neighborhoods. Looking at Greenpoint is especially frustrating given the amount of out-of-scale construction that’s happening along its waterfront. A tower called The Greenpoint, which is on the West Street between India and Huron, stretches an entire square block and will be 39 stories. (Thanks Stephen Levin.) And many more buildings are underway. Williamsburg is a tad less alarming since the waterfront has already been dramatically altered. At least Bushwick Inlet Park seems like a done deal at this point. Check out what’s happening in your neighborhood here.
