Gov Ball and Nitehawk present Weird Al's UHF Film Feast

As you may know, Nitehawk Cinema, the best (in my opinion) movie theater in NYC, loves to pair the movies they’re showing with delicious, thoughtful and eclectic dishes to match. Building on that, they also have FILM FEASTS, where they create an entire menu for one movie (food AND drink). It’s usually a classic, like previous picks Pulp Fiction, Christmas Vacation, or Big Lebowski. Or it’s one that is relevant to the now, like the upcoming Wet Hot American Summer screening which is sold out (the Netflix prequel series is out July 17).

But what does this have to do with Governor’s Ball Music Festival (next weekend), you ask?!

This Tuesday, June 2nd, before Weird Al Yankovic himself takes the stage on Randall’s Island on Sunday June 7th, Nitehawk is teaming up with Gov Ball to show his wacky, absurd Wayne’s World-one-upping cult classic UHF (1989). It’s the only movie Weird Al’s ever made, and it features Fran Drescher, Michael Richards, and Kevin McCarthy, among others.

Check out the crazy and unpredictable menu (including the infamous Twinkie Wiener Sandwich) below and grab tickets HERE. They’re sure to go quick.

“Waiters of the Lost Ark”
Big Edna burger & Twinkie Wiener Sandwich with “just about done” Fries
Drink Pairing: Rolling Rock Golden Idol – Rolling Rock Extra Pale, Mango Pureé, Fresh Lemon Juice

“Philo’s Chemistry Set”

“Mr. Butterfingers’ Red Face”
Finger Sandwich – Prosciutto, Arugula, Parmesan, Red Pepper Coulis
Drink Pairing: Blood and Sawdust – Bulldog Gin, Clarified Fresh Vegetable Juice, Pimento Dram
