It’s raining. It’s pouring. We’re stuck inside, and it’s BORING. Sure, this forecast is the pits, but it’s times like this that I’m reminded of the yins and yangs of life. After all, we wouldn’t know excitement if there was no calm, happiness if there was no sadness and sunshine if there were no rain. Besides, living in NYC comes with a built in contingency plan. There’s lots of fun on the horizon, and we’re gonna shake our asses rain or shine. See what’s up in this week’s club crush.
.) Panorama @ Randall’s Island (Friday, July 27 – Sunday, July 29) -It wouldn’t be a festival weekend on Randall’s Island without a high chance of scattered thunderstorms. Pack a poncho, because Coachella’s east coast sister hits Randall’s Island this weekend for three days of mega performances. If the Janet Jackson booking wasn’t enough to grab your attention, perhaps appearances from The Killers, The Xx and Odesza did the trick. Known for being exceptionally run and well attended, we’ll see if third time proves to be a charm for AEG‘s new golden child. Get 3-day and single day passes HERE.
.) J. Phlip @ Elsewhere Rooftop (Friday, July 27) – Friday is ladies night at the Elsewhere Rooftop when the fairest Dirtybird of them all, J. Phlip, hits the decks at this house-heavy day into night party. Doors are at 5 PM, so bounce out of work early (f*ck ya, summer Fridays) and indulge in the happiest of hours. No, for real, mixed drinks are only $4 until 7 PM! Bonus points if you go back on Saturday night for a double dose of DB, compliments of local flyers, Walker & Royce. Get tickets HERE.
.) Elrow Open Air @ The Brooklyn Mirage (Saturday, July 28) – Let the Rowlympic Games begin! Spain’s internationally renowned party brand brings their over the top theatrics to Bushwick with an event that has even the Gods atop Mt. Olympus talking. Continuing their hugely successful residency at The Mirage, this Saturday’s Elrow Open Air party is set to be their biggest celebration yet. Keeping with theme, the world’s top DJs go head-to-head in rare, highly anticipated B2Bs. Catch colossal sets from Patrick Topping B2B Eats Everything, Will Clarke B2B Santé and many more. We’re particularly pumped to see BangOn!NYC residents The Golden Pony battle tete-a-tete before reuniting for the upcoming Elements Music & Arts Festival. Get tickets HERE.
.) Delta Bass featuring Phiso & Mark the Beast @ Knitting Factory (Saturday, July 28) – There’s no escaping the thunder at this party, where the bass in Knitting Factory’s back room is sure to be as earth shaking as the storms outside. If it’s dubstep or trap you’re craving, this is the event for you! Canadian producer Phiso headlines with support from Brooklyn’s own Mark the Beast. Get tickets HERE.
.) Sundays on the Roof feat. DJ Tennis @ Output (Sunday, July 29) – Round out your weekend with Italian techno legend, DJ Tennis. It’s a rare chance to catch the OG stateside before he heads back to Europe to finish out festival season with flair. Since you’ll have danced those brunch calories off by mid-afternoon, be sure to sample signature bites from Output’s official rooftop food vendor, The Bolivian Llama Party. Get tickets HERE.
