Idaho’s finest, Built to Spill, will be touring as a trio this Autumn which sees the band make two stops in New York. First off is a show at Irving Plaza on the 16th of September, and they’ll be back on the 5th October at Brooklyn Bowl. Both shows, rather tantalizingly, are with Alex G and Hop Along in what promises to be a fine triple bill. More details and video below the jump.
Built to Spill’s latest record, Untethered Mood, was released last year on Warner Bros and is the first with the new rhythm section of Steve Gere (drums) and Jason Albertini (bass). It’s the eighth record that Doug Martsch has released as Built to Spill and few can rival their consistency, Martsch must also be one of the most underrated guitarists of the last 25 years.
