Williamsburg favorite Saltie to close at the end of December

Saltie, one of the best sandwich shops in Williamsburg has announced it will be closing at the end of the year. From

Eater:

Owner Caroline Fidanza announced the decision on Instagram, with a hashtag — #itsnottherentitsme — that pointed to a personal decision over a rent increase.
Dozens of commenters are already mourning the closure, which will remove cherished sandwiches such as the Scuttlebutt with hard boiled egg, feta, olives, capers, and pickles, on freshly baked focaccia loaf. The tiny restaurant has long been a neighborhood favorite, considered one of the best restaurants in the area for its baked goods and simple daytime fare.
