Videology becomes The Winchester
Sat Oct 31, noon
Videology, 308 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg
This Halloween, for one night only, Videology Bar & Cinema is NO MORE! For one night only, we’re transforming Videology into the Winchester Tavern from one of the greatest films in the history of cinema… SHAUN OF THE DEAD. For one night only, we’re no longer a bar on Bedford Avenue but rather a pub in North London. Zombies have surrounded the building, and we will be your refuge from the undead hordes. So bring your shovels and your cricket bats, and have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.
That’s right…the skinny tie might be a little too tightly tied. That laughing chair could swallow you whole. And a ride on that bicycle may take you directly to HELL! With Halloween falling on a weekend, it’s likely that the scariest thing you’ll see is dozens up dozens of Kardashians yakking into the gutter. Or bombed bros gettin’ their Batman on. To shield you from such atrocities, Rubulad has lined up a lively evening of enigmatic entertainment. Un-dead musical performances will feature the wild warblings of Les Sans Culottes and demonic dance beats of the Yeahtones (featuring Members of EMEFE). Evil emcee Tanya Solomon will storm the stage as “Meka Hiny Ho.” Rubulad horror-house DJs Ol’ Stark and frenemies will be spinning you right ’round, baby, right ’round…in your GRAVE. Be unnerved by very special guest Tommy Jose Stathés, aka The King of Cartoons, with his Cartoon Carnival! Be blinded by Norm Francoeur’s Light Circus Extraordinaire! Witness the terrors of G. Scopitronic’s Non-Stop Film Fest! And of course you can anticipate other indescribable acts by additional surprise guests.
