The fast food joint that brought us the “fourth meal” now serves up the most important meal of the day, the “first meal.” In a much anticipated move, the chain introduces a breakfast line– expanding its target demographic to include not only broke drunk people, but also broke hung over people as well.
The star of the menu is the Waffle Taco, filled with eggs, cheese and either sausage or bacon served with (what else?) syrup and keeping with the food combo craze. But that’s not all!
The full breakfast menu line-up is as follows: the Waffle Taco, the A.M. Crunchwrap™, Cinnabon® Delights™, Breakfast Burrito – Bacon, Breakfast Burrito – Sausage, Steak and Eggs Burrito, A.M. Grilled Taco – Bacon, A.M. Grilled Taco – Sausage, Sausage Flatbread Melt, Hash Brown, Premium Hot Coffee and Tropicana Orange Juice.
Taco Bell has been testing the new a.m. menu in the West for about a year now, and the new menu is rolling out across the nationwide tomorrow. Ridgewood’s Taco Bell on Myrtle Avenue has been serving up tasty breakfast treats since Sunday. The Taco Bell in Greenpoint will not be participating in the breakfast menu. (Tears.) If you want to start a protest, let me know.
Otherwise, if you are really hankering for a Waffle Taco, you could also hop on the J to grab an egg-filled crunchwrap on Flushing Avenue or the L train to get your fix Union Square.
