There’s a Rubulad party in Bushwick on Saturday: Mysteries of the Deep

rubulad

As always, this promises to be fun:

Join us for a Jacques Cousteau-meets-Monty Python sort of evening, where pseudo-science melds with uber-entertainment, chemistry flirts with buffoonery and everyone has a rollicking good time. Come along and dive into The Life Aquantic [sic].

We give you two rooms of musical mayhem at the already infamous Paper Box, featuring live musical performances by silly 60′s French pop ensemble Les Sans Culottes, Brooklyn chamber dorkestra Friend Roulette and The Good To Go Girls. Between bands and late into the night, plumb the depths of your dancing soul with DJs Reagonomics and Mike Simonetti of Troubleman Unlimited and Italians Do It Better fame.

In the cabaret room, enjoy the cacophony of Sonic Marathon with The New Noise Continuum, Loop 243, Tommy Tom’s Time Machine, Subverse with Elliot Levin and more. And now that the weather has (finally) warmed up, enjoy the beautiful back yard, with G. Scopitronic’s Non-Stop Film Fest and Answers to Eternal Questions.

Plus, as always, trippy visuals provided by The Sperm Whale, alarming new art by Pierre Pressure, Surprise Sea Chanteys and Scrumptious Snacks provided by our talented coterie of freaks. Immerse yourself in the perpetual sensory experience that Rubulad unflaggingly provides.

At The Paper Box NYC, 17 Meadow St., Brooklyn.
L train to Grand St., walk toward Morgan, right on Waterbury, left on
