The Living Room looks to be the next LES staple moving to Williamsburg

livingroomOn the heels of the Lower East Side’s Max Fish making a jump to Williamsburg, the recently closed Ludlow street music venue The Living Room is attempting to move next door. The venue has applied to take the spot right next to Max Fish and Nitehawk Cinema at 134 Metropolitan Ave. Bedford + Bowery spoke to the owner Jennifer Gilson:

“We just couldn’t find a location [in Manhattan] that was appropriate,” she said at a meeting of Community Board 1′s SLA committee n Williamsburg last night. She and her husband and co-owner Steve Rosenthal, a three-time Grammy Award-winning engineer and producer, said they had tried four or more locations in Manhattan before deciding to move to Brooklyn.
