In 2006 chef Polo Dobkin helped open Brooklyn’s Dressler and won a Michelin star there before leaving in 2012. The Dressler unexpectedly closed last year but Dobkin has returned the 149 Broadway space to restore it to glory under the name Meadowsweet. From DNA info:
Dobkin’s new restaurant features an American menu with dishes like Colorado lamb loin and rib confit with swiss chard and cranberry beans, as well as cavatelli with braised rabbit, according to a restaurant spokeswoman.
Among the items on the dessert menu — overseen by Jared Rubin, previously of Bouchon Bakery, Dover and Batteresby — are a basque cake with rhubarb sorbet and milk chocolate semifreddo with horchata, rice krispies and cajeta.
Hours have been posted on the Meadowsweet website.
