With Maryland Deathfest on the way this weekend, some of you are probably a little preoccupied at the moment and I get that. But the best way to prep for a metric ton of metal is with even more metal, so make sure to give this week’s installment of This One Goes To Eleven a skim. At the very least, you’ll have something to jam to while you cram your archive of Venom cut-offs into a black trash bag and hit I-95 with a thumb in the air.
While the rest of the Northern hemisphere bemoans the coming of November, and with it thinning light, withering death, and the abandonment of all hope, it is time for our twisted little community to raise its goat skull cups and toast the arrival of winter. If this week’s albums, shows, and generalized insanity are indication, it’s bound to be a good one.
Last night, Saint Vitus (the band) played Saint Vitus (the song) at Saint Vitus (the venue). Check out a 25 minute video edit of the one and a half hour long show below. It includes the songs “Dying Inside”, “Saint Vitus”, “War Is Our Destiny”, “The Bleeding Ground” and “White Stallions”. Clips of openers Weedeater and Sourvein can be found after the jump.
