BirdDog Promo, Supercrush Studios, The Sky Report and My Social List have teamed up to bring Pictureplane, Doldrums, Ava Luna, Heliotropes and many more to the grounds of the historic Onderdonk House in Ridgewood, Queens this weekend. The historic house is situated on two acres of outdoor park land and the two day fest also boasts food trucks by Kimchi Taco and Palaneque Arepas, in addition to art installations by Dash 7 Design, Andrew Thomas & Gabriel Hurier.
Leave it to me to love anything that kicks off with a Fleetwood Mac sample, excerpts from Rosemary’s Baby and lyrics like “I’ll be your good witch, call me,” but beyond my go-to approval qualifications, SZA has been on my brain since her sort of under-the-radar debut release See.SZA.Run.
You can download her newest S EP below for free, and catch her tonight at Glasslands with Cascine dream Chad Valley and number one crush Rush Midnight. Tickets are moments away from being sold out, so get yours now!
Out now on Cascine, Rush Midnight‘s +1 EP is a plethora of tropical vibes that’s sure to make your baby-making parts feel all sorts of tingling. Russ Manning’s moniker, Rush Midnight, is equally dichotomous as the former Twin Shadow bassist’s solo debut record – perfectly rushed beats set the danceable rhythmic pace, while each track drips with breathy lyrics that after dark is made of.
Check out the video for “Crush” below, featuring NYC subway breakdancers W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew and produced by none other than George Lewis Jr. himself:
