Janet Jackson – “Someone To Call My Lover” (Giraffage Remix)

Are you guys loving this as much as I am? Or am I just being old and nostalgic?

Mr. Rogers Remix (headphones highly recommended)

Maybe Williamsburg isn’t The Neighborhood of Make-Believe but it’s fun to pretend when you’re listening to the new Mister Rogers remix by Symphony of Science’s John D. Boswell, aka melodysheep for PBS Digital Studios.

From PBS:

Turns out that (John) is a huge Mister Rogers Neighborhood fan, and was thrilled at the chance to pay tribute to one of our heroes. Both PBS and the Fred Rogers Company hope you like John’s celebration of Fred Rogers’ message.”

According to PBS, this is but the first in a series of PBS icons remixed. I can’t wait for the Charlie Rose remix!

Ghostfunk: Ghostface vs Afrofunk

Released in July 2011, Ghostfunk pairs one of my favorite hip-hop artists, Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah, with vintage African funk, high-life, and psychedelic rock music. Artwork by Joe Dichiara.
