Threes Brewing opened a pop-up in Greenpoint in the former home of Cassette

Craft beer drinkers rejoice. Threes Brewing is visiting Greenpoint in the former home of Cassette! Now you don’t have to make the haul to Gowanus to sample their suds. The pop-up is located at 113 Franklin Street and they’re open Wednesday – Sunday at 5pm. They set up shot last week and will be in Greenpoint for at least a month.

From Greenpointers:

Hallelujah! Something’s happening in the old Cassette space, making Franklin Street a little less sparse. [Read more…]

yum

The restaurant is a pop-up, open on Wednesdays, inside the wine bar Bodega Wine Bar with Burmese comfort food:

These noodles can take the form of stir-fries, soups, or cold summer salads, with some dishes toggling between those modalities. Individual recipes vary from week to week, so that one Wednesday if you order beef shan noodle —attributed to a state in eastern Myanmar bordering China— it may be a heap of slippery and pungently oily rice linguine shot with beef nuggets, shredded omelet, crunchy peanuts, and cilantro, tasting powerfully of fish sauce and secondarily of tomato. Pop-Up Disco at Metro Community Laundromat. Wait. What?

image c/o Travis LoDolce

Gilt City New York has your ticket to a posh evening of top-shelf punches and disco beats in…a Williamsburg laundromat?

That’s right.  On Friday, June 17 from 10:30pm to 4am, Metropolitan Community Laundromat (aka “The Laundromat That Never Sleeps”) on Metropolitan Ave. and Lorimer will be living up to its moniker by hosting the Dirty Disco Laundrette Party.  DJs The Juan MacLean and Justin Miller of DFA Records are set to spin (we presume) BeeGees and Donna Summer at this pop-up renegade dance party.  The $75 ticket also includes sweet open bar access all sexy night long.

Promotion ends Thursday, June 16 at 10am.
