Motorino Brooklyn Will Reopen Tomorrow!

After being being forced to close its original location – the building was condemned – Motorino is FINALLY back serving up some of the best pizza in all of New York. The new space beneath the Williamsburg bridge is larger and has a full bar. New additions to the menu will include “eggplant pie, a porchetta calzone, a portabello mushroom pizza, and a farro salad. Palombino is also working on a “frittatina,” which is an olive oil-fried macaroni cake that’s filled with provolone and prosciutto.”

Motorino To Reopen In Williamsburg’s Southside?

Our fingers are crossed! Via Eater

A little over a year after the previous Williamsburg location closed, Mathieu Palombino’s pizzeria Motorino may be returning to Brooklyn. An entity called Motorino Broadway, Inc has filed an SLA application with Brooklyn’s CB1, on which the board will be voting at Wednesday’s meeting. As Grub Street notes, this would place the reborn Motorino Brooklyn basically within steps of Peter Luger, Marlow & Sons, and Dressler.

Any news on when/where/if they are reopening?

Motorino Blames Closing On “Stupidity of our Landlord”

Diners hoping to get their brick oven pizza on at Motorino last night were greeted by closed doors and this sign. RIP Motorino.

Formerly: Motorino to close, um, permanently.

Motorino To Close, Um, Pemanently

Evidently their building is practically crumbling. Via Eater

Palombino offers this statement: “I’m sadly reporting that the Department of Building has shut down Motorino in Brooklyn. The stupidity of our landlord is a force we were not able to overcome. While this setback is unfortunate, we promise to soon re-open in a new location.”

Needless to say, they will be missed.
