In what is usually a somber and reflective week, it’s important to remember that should also include some joy and gratitude of what we still have and can achieve. For the purpose of this weekly column, that includes the experience that only live music can bring.
Happy labour day weekend everyone. While many may be fleeing the city for a break, those of us who remain can enjoy a little more elbow room for a few days, and you can enjoy some excellent shows while you’re at it.
Please don’t die in the ghastly heatwave we’re going to have this weekend, remember to stay hydrated wherever you are and enjoy concerts responsibly.
Spring has, meteorologically at least, sprung this week and with it THE REBIRTH OF TRVE, PVRE EVIL. Lol, just kidding, but there are some plenty of new metal records on the way, so dig in and have some fun.

Seems somewhat ironic to have come down with a stinking cold to coincide with the first few truly lovely days (is this… summer…?), but enough about me, let’s talk about the great shows you should be going to this weekend.
