If you’ve sampled their fare at Smorgasburg, you know this is good news. Plus, The Woods is one of our favorite bars. From their press release:
The chefs behind Landhaus, the beloved farm to sandwich and grilled maple bacon sticks Smorgasburg fixture, and the owners of the popular Brooklyn neighborhood bar and DJ venue The Woods, have partnered to launch Landhaus at The Woods (48 S. 4th Street, Williamsburg). Serving delicious twists on American classics that complement the bar’s selection of craft beers, artisanal spirits and cocktails, Landhaus at The Woods becomes the perfect destination for a casual dinner in the courtyard, boozy weekend brunch (to come) or late night snack at the bar.
With a permanent home and newly constructed kitchen, Landhaus at The Woods will introduce an extensive menu of fun, delicious and affordable twists on American classics that reflects the diverse culinary backgrounds of the partners: American, Korean, Mexican and Filipino. Fresh, inventive takes on American and Southern classics include Landhaus BLT with thick slabs of bacon and baconized mayo; Crispy Duck wings with a Korean chili glaze; The Ribs glazed pork spareribs with crushed peanuts and cilantro; Char-Grilled Young Chicken with guajillo marinade and house buttermilk dill ranch; The Cholo Egg, a soft yolk egg encased in chicken chorizo and fried; Jalapeño Cheddar Hush Puppies; Crab Rangoon fried wontons filled with crab and pimento cheese; and Grilled Corn with toasted spices, feta and lime. With their signature creative approach to the Blue Plate Special, the chefs will offer a nightly special that will include Creekstone Farms Steak with bone marrow butter; Fried Chicken with collards, biscuits and gravy, and Pork Chops with sweet corn puree, swiss chard and salsa verde. Please see the menu below – nothing is over $14. Summer drinks from The Woods complement the new menu, with a selection of tiki and frozen drinks available at the outdoor bar.
