It’s already been a good week with shows by Tool and Mikal Cronin in the bag, so let’s pull things kicking and screaming into the weekend.
Looks like we’re in for a mostly pleasant weekend weather-wise, and there might not be too many of those left for the next few months, so make the most of it. This week it’s all about tried-and-tested excellent acts.
Philly quartet Sheer Mag put out their excellent new album, A Distant Call in August and those with a hankering for Thin Lizzy-esque rock should listen to it at your nearest convenience (or inconvenience, even). Produced by Arthur Rizk, the record nails a classic sound and captures the band at their most accomplished to date, while their previous efforts […]
It’s always sad to hear of impending venue closures like Brooklyn Bazaar, come to think of it we’re almost at the 5-year anniversary of Vice media ripping Death By Audio out of our still beating hearts (still not over it). Anyway, let’s try to be a bit more positive with these excellent shows…

This year, the roster includes live shows from Roy Ayers, Helado Negro, Wand, Braxton Cook, MNDSGN and more. There will also be a slew […]
