In Williamsburg, a new vegetarian restaurant and bar has opened in the former home of Moto called Bar Velo:

Longtime Williamsburg haunt Cafe Moto has been reborn as a cycling enthusiast’s temple to two-wheeled transportation called Bar Velo, opening Monday on Broadway. We told you it was coming! Now, Eater spoke with the owners who provided more details about  the Bun-Ker outpost in East Williamsburg/Bushwick:

The proprietors of popular Ridgewood Vietnamese restaurant Bun-Ker are gearing up to open a new restaurant in a large industrial space at 99 Scott Ave. in Bushwick-East Williamsburg. Chef/owner Jimmy Tu, 39, tells Eater that his team will take advantage of the larger space by offering an expanded menu of traditional Vietnamese food, a cocktail menu inspired by the tropical fruits of Vietnam, and a cold-pressed juice bar. Bún-ker serving up Vietnamese BBQ tonight at Good Co. with WOLVVES (DJ Set)

If you’ve tried the food at Ridgewood’s Bún-ker, then you know this is going to rule. We’re hoping the weather works out.

From Flavorpill:

Less is never more when it comes to BBQ and free music in the summertime. Especially when the two are combined and presented by Finger on the Pulse. For the second installment of their popular Williamsburg-dwelling series, the crew have invited the boys from Bún-ker to cook up a killer Vietnamese-flavored ‘cue with WOLVVES on the decks. The meat is wild and the tunes should be even wilder at this backyard affair, which only sets you back $10 for a plate and a complimentary drink from Brooklyn Brewery.
