Happy start-of-the-world-cup day, everyone! With the tournament now underway in Russia (for whom Trump is presumably cheering), the time difference works in our favour to watch games and then still be free in the evening to hit up some concerts, which is handy because everything below the jump is an absolutely outstanding option.
This is probably the best weekends-worth of shows all year, so you should probably stop reading at this point and make your plans, if you haven’t missed the boat already.
Well it doesn’t quite feel like Spring yet but there I’m trying to bring a little optimism to the table this week. It’s nice to have had a few weeks where it’s still light out in the evening, summer concert announcements can’t be too far away and we’ve got metal, dance, pop, experimental and soul […]
When we saw Curtis Harding at Glasslands way back in 2014, I wondered how long it would be before he was playing larger venues, such as Bowery Ballroom, and that the man should be a superstar. It’s taken longer than I thought, but Curtis finally plays at Bowery on the 30th of March, the show […]
Greetings! Apologies for the post-thanksgiving-lull in this series, you may also be trying to get over. Before we get to all the end-of-year lists we’ve still got some time to enjoy the present moment and get to some shows (we can still do that all the time anyway, but our list is excellent, I promise).
Some of you might be nerding out at Comic Con this weekend, but music nerds of all kinds have a veritable feast of options to rival those reaching a once-a-year climax. It was tough to narrow it down to only five options, so don your most obscure band shirt and take in the nods of […]
We’re somehow halfway through September already. While the weather’s going to stay warm for a bit, get ready to start swapping your peaches for apples and get those cardigans on standby.
Let’s try not to die in the heat this weekend, remember the stay hydrated and see plenty of good bands. You can even see some great outdoor shows this weekend too, so be careful out there.
Greetings! I hope everyone made the most out of their July 4th celebrations, maybe you’re still hungover. There’s a bit of nostalgia in the air this weekend but plenty of great new acts too, let’s not waste any time this summer.
Still processing the news that Chris Cornell died today, Soundgarden have always been a huge favourite. I’ll be in Lisbon this weekend on a much needed break but I’m still trying not to be disappointed at missing some of these. Anyway, I’ll console myself with seafood and wine and you enjoy yourselves with bass, guitars, […]
