Greenpoint's River Styx is closing on Sunday

August 11, 2016 By Robert Lanham

We’re going to miss their nachos — which were some of the best in the city. Maybe there will be a Bill Murray spotting at the closing party – which happens on Sunday. His son is a partial owner, after all. From their website: We regret to inform our beloved guests that after 3 years […]

Starting tonight at The Gorbals rooftop bar on North 6th (between Berry and Wythe  — above, ugh, Urban Outfitters) there’s a new free film series featuring Bill Murray films. “Murray Mondays” is an 8-week series that kicks off with Caddyshack  and goes every Monday until the end of September. Here’s the full line-up:

Joe Biden enters Williamsburg, proclaims himself 'Weird Guy'

February 4, 2015 By Josh Morrissey

Joe Biden is in Brooklyn today to pay a visit to the Williamsburg overlords Vice Magazine and potentially hip up his image in lieu of a Presidential run. Gothamist has more photos if you are interested, but what I’m mostly interested in is the possibility of Bill Murray and Joe Biden drunkenly running into each […]

Bill Murray took his dying Williamsburg neighbor to dinner

January 7, 2014 By Josh Morrissey

I swear I’ve been trying to hold off on posting about Bill Murray’s Williamsburg adventures, but this tidbit is too nice not to share. When Murray was living in 475 Kent last summer, he was an excellent Williamsburg neighbor. From NY Times: Either way, the building remains a big draw for the high-achieving creative set. […]

Bill Murray's brother is not strolling around Williamsburg

December 19, 2013 By Josh Morrissey

While word circulated yesterday that Bill Murray is hanging out in Williamsburg, his brother John has been up to some quite different activities. Along with his brothers John Murray owns the aptly named Murray Bros. Caddyshack in Jacksonville, Florida, and was recently caught driving through some lawns according

Has Bill Murray revealed himself to you in Williamsburg?

August 5, 2013 By Josh Morrissey

I became one of the chosen on July 13th, 2011 at around 2AM. I was standing in line to go to the bathroom at The Commodore when a familiar face walked towards me. Like a lot of New Yorkers my first thought wasn’t “that’s someone famous!”, but more “That person looks familiar, maybe he was […]

Moonrise Kingdom

January 12, 2012 By Annick Mayer

Oh yes! Wes Anderson’s new movie ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ now has a trailer, and it looks as good as I hoped. The movie stars some big names as per usual; Bill Murray, Harvey Keitel, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Schwartzman, but newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward also grace the stage. […]
