As if Tax Day wasn’t enough trauma for one day, April 15th is also the day when the revised partial shutdown plan begins on the L line.
From today until April 26, there will be no L service between Brooklyn and Manhattan from 10:30 PM and 5 AM, Monday through Friday. Make sure you get on that train in time if you find yourself working late or having dinner in the city!
The MTA is suspending weeknight service between Lorimer Street in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan from April 15 through April 26 as it gears up for the L train rehabilitation project. L trains will continue to run between Lorimer Street and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway.
Beginning Monday, trains will stop running at 10:30 p.m. and will resume service at 5 a.m. the following day. The overnight outages will stop for the weekend and then pick back up for another five days on Monday, April 22.
