It’s December, typically a slow time for openings, but there are a couple of items we’d like to report.
In South Williamsburg, there’s a new bar with an Andy Warhol theme. It’s called Silver Factory, a reference to the vibrant color of the walls at The Factory that the bar has reproduced. Their Facebook page says the “Silver Factory is a place for creative gatherings, which offers not only moderately-priced Korean fusion dishes that are inspired by New York lifestyle, but also art pieces and commodities that are designed by local artists and designers.” They had a soft opening on December 1st and are located at 270 South 5th Street.
Also freshly opened, Howlin’ Tacos is a new Austin-style taco pop-up at Reclamation Bar in East Williamsburg (817 Metropolitan). They’re open nightly and also for brunch on weekends. Delivery is also available.
And, of course, there are closings. MIUSA Wine Bar in South Williamsburg has closed and the Bushwick Bagel House was shutdown by the health department.
