The pro-Trump “art show” featuring a cavalcade of awful characters has been given the boot by the owner of the gallery the event was supposed to take place at on Saturday. Joe Amrhein who owns The Boiler art space on North 14th sent a statement to ArtNet News:
Amrhein send a statement to artnet News explaining that the exhibition will no longer be held at the Boiler. “He can find somewhere else to show it. I’ve been getting too much contradictory information and realized that he’s been lying to me all this time. We gave him the benefit of the doubt, but that was my fault,” Amrhein wrote. “Down deep I thought a satirical show about Trump was a good idea, and still do, but [Wintrich] really believes in this stuff. It’s all about freedom of speech, according to him and now we’re ‘non believers.’”
The show’s organizer tweeted that they have found a new space in Manhattan:
#DaddyWillSaveUs has found a new space, a better space, a fantastic space. The show is now going to be held at a gallery in Manhatten.
