The last time This One Goes to Eleven hosted a show, it was at The Acheron, just around the corner from Shea Stadium. Needless to say, a lot has changed since then. The Acheron is gone and Shea has moved on, but we’re still here, doing the same thing right around the same corner at The Well.
On Thursday September, 7th at 8pm, This One Goes to Eleven is proud to present Thera Roya, Black Black Black, Ereptile Destruction, and Fliege in the No Vacancy room at The Well. Celebrating the release of their new EP, Masterful Universe, local (and long-running) psych-doom/avant-garde act, Thera Roya, headline the night, bringing their shape-shifting live show back from a summer-long hiatus.
After that, local hardcore-tinged stoner metal quartet Black Black Black are set to unleash their premium unleaded pit party with a sound that can best described as coke-era Sabbath (Vol. 4) on trucker grade meth. Warming up the amplifiers for them, are blackened instrumental thrashers Ereptile Destruction and the debut of Fliege—which, in the interest of full disclosure, is my band—an industrial black metal duo playing songs off an upcoming demo based on David Cronenberg’s The Fly.
