Singe Valah Productions proudly presents …of Stardust, two distinct and parallel events under one concept. All the details concerning this event, including promotional spots and gallery soundtrack are here.
Starting at 6 PM, the first installment is something exclusive for the US and North America: The premiere of Romanian visual Artist Costin Chioreanu’s Where Purgatory Ends interactive art exhibition. This fantastic gallery debuted this summer as a part of Dark Bombstic Evening III festival in the wonderful medieval fortress of Alba Iulia , and it left the crowd awestruck. And now it’s here for you to see it, feel it and hear it. The gallery itself hosts thirteen large images printed on black canvas, all representing various important moments in the young Artist’s career. Some of these beautiful works are dreams waiting to materialize while others are pure, idealized utopias. However most are just memories that just really needed to be set free. At the core of the exhibition lies The Seeker – a personal visualization of the Soul’s asexuality, a half-male half-female entity, sentient energy questing for self-discovery through universes and lifecycles. Where Purgatory Ends is more than just an exhibition – it’s a three-part experience. The soundtrack is written and recorded in collaboration with famed Norwegian avant-garde guitarist Rune Eriksen (sole composer/guitarist in Mayhem between 1995-2008)
Continuing at 8 PM, the second installment is an invitation to celebrate two of the finest’ New York City avant-garde metal guitar players, Kevin Hufnagel (of Dysrhythmia and Gorguts fame – playing an acoustic set on ukulele and guitar) and Mick Barr (Krallice, Orthelm) will perform a very special Ocrilim set. Joining them, two exclusive appearances: Portland’s Daniel Menche (one of the most thought-provoking and daring noise/experimental artists in the US) and Canada’s Nathanaël Larochette (presenting for the first time in New York City his signature bleak, pastoral influenced ethereal Neofolk: Musk Ox)
An after party will follow at Saint Vitus…
