Brooklyn’s Northside Festival (June 12-19) has added Beirut and The War On Drugs their lineup. The shows will take place 50 Kent (the venue formerly known as Williamsburg Park). From Northside:
Northside Festival is proud to announce that on June 13 and 14, it will kick off a summer-long Northside Summer Concert Series at 50 Kent with two special shows in the 6,000-capacity outdoor venue in North Williamsburg (formerly called “Williamsburg Park,” entrance is at North 12th. On Friday, June 13, The War on Drugs will take the stage to top a recent run of sold-out shows following the release of new album Lost in the Dream ($20 adv, $25 day of). On Saturday, June 14, Northside welcomes back returning headliners Beirut, in their only Brooklyn summer performance this year. ($35 adv and day of) Shows are all ages, rain or shine. Tickets for both are on sale now.
The festival is also adding Talib Kweli, Albert Hammond, Jr., The Dead Milkmen, Eleanor Friedberger, The Barr Brothers, Lust for Youth, Diane Coffee, Benjamin Booker, as well as Ava Luna and Shamir.
