NY Times says:

Diner, which opened in Williamsburg in late 1998, was doing the Brooklyn tropes before they were Brooklyn tropes. And it still does them with charm and skill. Now, as ever, the cooking emphasizes seasonality, accessibility, comfort and correctness: the beef for a recent strip steak special was grass-fed. A half chicken was impeccably cooked. Same for a fillet of halibut. There’s a sophisticated wine list and carefully chosen beers. The setting — in a narrow, snug metal dining car from 1927 — remains irresistible.

NY Mag says:

Even before you’ve finished your first Wizard cocktail, you notice the floor is tilting. But the disequilibrium contributes to the charm of this snug, just-rehabbed-enough 1926 dining car. A beyond reductive menu offering “soup,” “burger,” “spinach,” and at brunch, “hot cereal” misleads at first. Specials might include succulent pork loin with caramelized cipollini and tender lamb ragout with white-bean gratin
