The first part of this series featured Zsela on July 16, but there are a handful of artists you can still catch from July 20 to Sep 17. Next up is duendita:
We are pleased to share that Wythe Hotel – Brooklyn’s most iconic property – announces today the first wave of a five-part Sunset Songs series curated by IAMSOUND at Lemon’s – a new summer rooftop concept by Jon Neidich and Golden Age Hospitality.
Taking place every other Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM this summer, Sunset Songs is a line-up of free live performances on the hotel’s new rooftop space. The line-up begins with a performance by rising star and songwriter Zsela on July 16. The first wave of events is listed below with additional details on second half of the series to be released in the coming weeks:
JULY 30: duendita
duendita’s soul music speaks to the heart and spirit. Ordained by her connection to the ups and downs of the human experience, she is a gateway to the divine. With her achy, bass-coated tones, the New York-based singer builds altars that hold space for love, ancestral reverence, and a blessed existence for all of the black and brown people on earth.
AUGUST 13: TOMI
TOMI is characterized by ferocious guitar and resounding vocals—an unfettered, urgent, and emotionally supercharged sound that was forged from a ruthless determination to sing, play, and do things her own way, even in the face of life’s obstacles.
Lemon’s was conceived with acclaimed chefs Aidan O’Neal and Jake Leiber (Chez Ma Tante) along with beverage gurus Jim Kearns (Happiest Hour, Slowly Shirley) and Christine Kang (Soho House) to create the ideal warm-weather haunt. Each year, the Wythe Hotel brings together vibrant arts programming and calendar of cultural events.
