After several teases the remainder of the Kosciuszko Bridge will be blown to pieces this Sunday October 1st at 8AM. The state has a lottery for a special viewing area that you can sign up for right here. From DNA info:
The lottery closes at noon on Saturday, and lucky winners will receive an email announcing if they’ve been selected and where to go.
The bridge will be blown to the ground using a type of controlled demolition called “energetic felling,” according to the state.
Once the bridge is blasted, around 22 million pounds of steel will be cut up and hauled off to be recycled.
If you don’t win the bridge lottery you can always just find a regular old viewing area. Read more at DNAinfo.
