If you’ve ever wanted to make the world a more beautiful place, now is your chance. In honor of Earth Day and their upcoming Elements Lakewood event, Brooklyn-based production company BangOn!NYC is giving local artists an opportunity to sustainably elevate the festival’s landscape. Check out their big announcement below:
“For the first time ever, Elements Lakewood is excited and proud to offer a grant opportunity for creatives to showcase their talents that observe sustainable arts practices. Elements’ Sustainable Arts Program will focus and encourage friendly build practices for festival activations like sculptures, immersive spaces, interactive pieces and more that contain sustainable elements and aspects.
Those who are interested can apply here (bit.ly/ElementsArtGrant19) for a chance to qualify. One special creative individual/group will be given a $1,000.00 grant to showcase their work at the festival + 2 complimentary tickets to Elements Lakewood 2019. Deadline to submit: April 26.”
Pretty dope, right? Now it’s time to start thinking of ways you can make BangOn!NYC’s arts-forward festival even more spectacular. I bet you could find a way to turn all of those empty La Croix cans into a picture of Marilyn Monroe’s face. Or maybe you’ve been toying around with the idea of a solar powered light installation? Whatever your idea, make sure you fill out your application by this Friday to be considered for this generous $1,000 grant and complimentary festival tickets.
