The Color Run’s wild, glow-stick waving sister is coming to the Aviator Sports and Events Center at Floyd Bennett Field on September 5th and 6th. The annual event features immersive lands of light and sound, transporting runners from the bustling city streets into an electronic wonderland. Think of it like going to Output on Friday night, but way healthier.
The race kicks off at 8 PM each night, with waves of runners being released in 15 minute increments. The 5K path will lead runners through rain forests and oceans, past singing, glowing fountains, and much more. Participants will be greeted at the Finish Line with live DJ sets and a celebratory dance party. You deserve it.
Last year’s event featured beer for runners who were 21+, and an array of snacks to replenish energy. Registration is still open for both nights, with individual fees set at $59 through August 28th. Members of teams of four or more can enjoy the discounted rate of $54 through August 28th. You can pick your date HERE. Membership fees include a t-shirt and some glow in the dark accessories, as well as a donation to Building Beats, an organization that funds after-school music programs in underprivileged communities.
