It is with heavy hearts that we officially announce the last days of The Drink in Williamsburg. In the six-and-a-half years since we’ve opened, the neighborhood — and the drinks scene — has changed drastically, and so to must we change with it. Our last official day of business is this Sunday, February 19th.
We want to thank you for your years of kind coverage. We feel lucky that we’ve had press support from the beginning, and we appreciate always when you thought of us when putting together best of lists, seasonal drinks coverage, and mentions of our weird little shows and events. It’s been truly an honor to not only serve our community good drinks, but to act as a place for people to celebrate, to mourn, to gather for activism, to adopt as their second living room, and lets be honest, to throw ALL the birthdays and meet on all the Tinder dates (oh god so many dates).
We’re having events every day this week, but are throwing a big blowout this Saturday, 2/18 with DJs Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard, special guests, and just about a million drink specials (wonder who’s going to get the last of the Pappy??). We hope to see you there, and would appreciate one last mention to let your readers know they can come say goodbye.
