Dziupla: Michelin-recommended chef opens new Polish restaurant in Williamsburg

Good news! Popular Brooklyn restaurateur Krzysztof Drzewiecki has a new Polish cafe on Bedford Avenue. It’s called Dziupla and those familiar with his other staple restaurants in Greenpoint — Krolewskie Jadlo and Karczma — will be delighted.

The chef at Dziupla — a Nobu alum — brings a menu of greatest hits from Drzewiecki’s other restaurants including classics like Goulash-Stuffed Potato Pancakes, Borsch, and Pierogies. Heartier dishes include Kurobuta Pork Chop (with mushrooms, purple potatoes and cucumber salad), Grass Fed Beef Goulash and for adventurous eaters Wild Boar Ribs. Don’t worry, there are plenty of vegetarian options too.

Dziupla — which in Polish means tree hollow — has been given a makeover with exposed brick and a comfortable dining room. Dziupla is open daily for lunch, brunch and dinner with happy hour Monday through Saturday 4pm-7pm ($3 draft beer, $4 wine, and 1/2 priced pierogies).
