Have we awoken from our turkey coma yet? If the tryptophan didn’t take you out of commission, then last week’s heavy party schedule surely did. Thanksgiving has become one of the City’s greatest reasons to turn up, and for most of us, it’s just the beginning. Holiday season is here folks! In between a packed calendar of work parties, cocktail hours and family engagements, you still need YOU time. Thankfully, the borough’s hottest clubs have you covered, and we’re tipping you off to the good ish right now.
.) The Black Madonna Presents “We Still Believe” @ 1896 (Friday, December 1st) – One of house music’s baddest bitches is bringing new hope to Bushwick. MeanRed and The Black Madonna have rallied together a gang of dance music’s hottest names (including local talent like Danny Krivit, Octo Octa and Turtle Bugg) for a night of beats that proves America was already fucking great. The Kentucky-born homegirl will be dishing out fresh tracks at 1896, one of Ingraham St.’s up and coming hot spots. Get tickets HERE.
.) Tchami and Malaa @ Brooklyn Hangar (Friday, December 1st) – Two of Paris’s most popular producers will have Brooklyn fans going “ooh la la” when the No Redemption Tour makes an appearance in Sunset Park’s warehouse district this Friday. RPM Presents has joined forces with Pardon My French label mates Tchami and Malaa to pair their future house stylings with top-notch production. This show is bound to bring you to your knees, tho I recommend wearing pads, as the Brooklyn Hangar is notoriously filthy (in all the right ways, of course). Get tickets HERE.
.) Kaskade REDUX @ Output (Saturday, December 2nd) – It’s always a party when Kaskade comes to town (except for last time, when the city destroyed our dreams and cancelled his Red Hook show at the last minute). Well, the all-star producer is about to make up for the loss ten-fold when he brings his REDUX show to Output this Saturday. The “redux” title means you’re about to see Kaskade go back to his roots. It’s a rare opportunity to catch the electronic-titan outside of a major festival, so prepare to get scrappy when in comes to scoring tickets. The show’s sold out, but on the off chance they release tickets at the door, you get more info HERE.
.) The Desert Hearts Tour @ Undisclosed Brooklyn Venue (Saturday, December 2nd) – The Mojave’s beloved Desert Hearts crew is bringing the playa fire to a secret venue in Brooklyn this Saturday. This underground, rag-tag bunch (featuring Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs and Pork Chop) will pay tribute to house, techno and love like no one else can. Grab your best homies and become a part of what Thump Magazine has deemed “the West Coast’s fastest growing party squad.” Get tickets HERE.
.) Future Perfect: Walker & Royce B2B Ardalan @ House of Yes (Saturday, December 2nd) – Get down and Dirtybird this weekend when Brooklyn-based duo Walker & Royce go B2B with Ardalan at a party that’s well ahead of it’s time. Gather your flock, and prepare to have your feathers totally rustled as these DB Records fledglings never disappoint with their curious blend of acid and progressive house sounds. Take note, FUTURE PERFECT looks are required for entry, so start getting creative with all that leftover Thanksgiving tin foil that’s been chillin’ in the cabinet. Get tickets HERE.
