I can’t believe it’s already the end of July! How is this summer almost over and I have not a single trip to Coney Island under my belt? Oh wait, I know. It’s because, much like every other summer, instead of going to the beach I’ve gotten distracted by nightclubs and other shiny objects. And let’s be real, there’s no way in hell I’m taking that long ass train ride after closing down Output. I go to sleep at 6 AM, I wake up too late on Saturday, and then I make the same mistake again that night. And so the cycle continues. The weekend I make it to a Brooklyn beach is the weekend that all of the shows suck. And this weekend certainly doesn’t suck, so I’m just going to embrace my pale-white form and show it off on the dance floor. Of course, you don’t have to neglect your tan since there are a few outdoor options as well in this week’s Club Crush.
.) I Feel Love 40: Giorgio Moroder & Very Special Guests @ Schimanski NYC (Thursday, July 27th) – We LOVED this party last year, so we’re thrilled to hear that electronic icon, Giorgio Moroder, is coming back to NYC for the 40th Anniversary of his 1977 dance anthem, I Feel Love (which was performed by none other than the soul legend herself, Donna Summer). On Thursday night, you’ll have a chance to boogie through four decades of hits when Moroder brings a stacked lineup of special guests to join in the celebration. Oh, and it’s FREE! Woohoo! RSVP for free entry HERE.
.) Panorama NYC @ Randall’s Island (Friday, July 28th – Sunday, July 30th) – AEG’s “East Coast Coachella” returns to Randall’s Island this weekend with an impressive and diverse lineup featuring big names and rare electronic acts from Breakbot to Hot Since 82 to Nine Inch Nails. Up and comers like Snakehips and Honey Dijon are also making appearances this weekend. So if you’re looking to fill out that festival season schedule with another worthy wristband, this is it. Get tickets HERE.
.) Flosstradamus @ Output (Friday, July 28th) – I was a little confused by this booking since I was under the impression that the hard-hitting trap duo we grew to love as Flosstradamus was no more. That is until they announced an unexpected performance at Output this Friday. I haven’t personally seen anyone come in and turn this particular club into a mosh pit, but then again, there’s a first time for everything. Get tickets HERE.
.) Mike Servito and BETO Cravioto @ Black Flamingo NYC (Saturday, July 29th) – Top your vegan tacos with a taste of the underground this Saturday when techno producer Mike Servito, of The Bunker NYC, keeps it hot in Black Flamingo’s on-site vinyl club. Owner Eli Goldberg (Soul Clap), has made a business out of pairing incredible Latin food with top-notch music, and it’s always best when the lineup is local. FREE before midnight with RSVP.
.) Listed & CityFox Presents Play: Ana Schneider, Doc Martin, Atish, Jozif & More @ The Brooklyn Mirage (Saturday, July 29th) – I was honestly surprised to see The Mirage finally lock down that liquor license. After a while, the rumors felt a lot like the kind I hear about Daft Punk around festival season (it’s not gonna happen people), but somehow the folks behind Bushwick’s multi-million dollar venue pulled it off. This Saturday house and techno are the draw when Listed and CityFox join forces to bring an all-day party worth potentially having to piss in a bucket (was that really true? like, HOW?) Get tickets HERE.
