New Yorkers are truly spoiled. I grew up in a small town in Kentucky, where Applebee’s, Wal-Mart and an off-hours parking garage were the hottest spots to hit on Friday night. And you know Good Shepherd Church was LIT on Sundays. My how moving to the Big Apple has expanded my options!

In addition to having to ponder over basically every cuisine imaginable for my 4:30 AM, post-club snack, I’m also tasked with choosing the festivals, boat parties and rooftops that deserve my presence and hard-earned money. AIN’T LIFE HARD? I know you feel the same way, which is why I’m taking the guess work out of making this weekend’s plans. Strap in because this installment of Club Crush reveals the weekend’s best outdoor events and festivals in Brooklyn and beyond.

1.) Gratitude Migration: Summer Dream 2017 @ hELLO Beach, NJ (Friday, July 14 – Sunday, July 16). – What started as an intimate Brooklyn-based warehouse party has become one of the East Coast’s most anticipated pre-burn festivals. Gratitude Migration: Summer Dream is a three-day camping, arts and music event that takes place on a beautiful beach in Keansburg, NJ. In addition to wellness workshops, yoga sessions, and art installations, Gratitude Migration offers a stacked lineup of musical talent across four stages (featuring names like Moon Boots, The Golden Pony, David Kiss and many more). Gratitude Migration is making the world a better place, thanks to their missions to support sustainability, local artists and the mental health of the tri-state’s most dedicated party people. For a weekend that will leave you feeling satisfied, rejuvenated and happy, snag a 3-day pass and a bus or ferry ticket. Not only will you be supporting a great cause, you’ll be creating unforgettable memories while you’re at it. And, don’t forget to bring your own plate, utensils and cups, because these guys are all about leaving no trace behind. Get tickets HERE.

GDE

2.) The Greatest Day Ever @ Hunts Point, BX (Saturday, July 15 – Sunday, July 16) – They might want to change the name to Greatest WEEKEND Ever, because this year, the Adidas’ sponsored event is bringing two full days of music, carnival rides and festivities to a brand new venue north of Manhattan. Catch headlining sets from the always amazing Dillon Francis on Saturday and  Mad Decent fuckboi, Diplo, on Sunday. But if it’s house and techno you’re seeking, you’re in luck, hot names like Anna Lunoe and Green Velvet have us slow clapping for an unexpectedly fire undercard. Get tickets HERE.

Moma

3.) MoMA PS1 Summer Warm-Up Series feat. Jacques Greene @ MoMA PS1, LIC (Saturday, July 15) – I try to make it MoMA PS1’s impeccably decorated courtyard at least once a summer to drown myself in wine, art, bites and beats. Their summer WarmUp series always delivers top-notch day parties and a good excuse to hit Queens, and check out their seasonal exhibitions. This Saturday’s lineup features Canadian DJ and house producer, Jacques Greene – an artist with sounds so cool, you’ll forget that the forecast is calling for temperatures in the high 80s. Get tickets HERE.

Lloydski

4.) Tiki Disco @ The Roof (Saturday, July 15) – Lloydski and friends return to Output’s newly decorated rooftop for a daytime party drenched in disco throwbacks. The cover is only $10, so cool down with a frozen margarita and save your strength, because Matador (LIVE) is headlining the main room later that night. Get tickets HERE.

fiction

5.) Fiction Summer Boat Series @ Circle Line Sight Seeing Cruises (Saturday, July 15) – On Saturday, take your antics off shore with Maeve label head The Drifter, as he headlines Fiction’s special summer boat party. Hosted in partnership with Circle Line Sight Seeing Cruises, this undergound sea stint should remind you just how nice it is to break ties with the concrete jungle, if even just for five hours. Get tickets HERE.

ADID

6.) All Day I Dream of Summer Haze @ The Brooklyn Mirage (Sunday, July 16th) – Following his highly successful June installment at The Well, acid house legend, Lee Burridge, brings his beloved day party back to The Brooklyn Mirage in Bushwick this Sunday, with support from YoKoO and Hoj. Get tickets HERE.
