Williamsburg, meet the grand ol’ awesomeness that hit the Silent Barn like a growling tornado last night: Deathcrush and Altaar.
On their way to SxSW in Austin, TX, Norwegian drone-doomsters Altaar made a pit stop in Brooklyn at The Acheron last night. Fellow Norwegians Deathcrush in tow, the two bands will make another appearance at the Silent Barn in Queens tonight.
Ah, Northside Festival is all grown up and proved it with a very professional press event today at Bourough Hall. They even had Borough President Marty Markowitz there, who seem extra excited about the event. “There is a new sheriff in town,” Markowitz said, talking shit on SXSW before handing out pins that spelled out […]
Basically, if you’re not going to Good Co. every other Saturday, you’re not #winning. The Rude Dudes pump out hits to make your booty shake and enough dancing goes down that the glass doors of this fine establishment have no other option than to steam up. Before Cult of Youth we checked out Todd P’s event at 285 Kent, featuring the likes of Nat Baldwin and Talk Normal. […]
Below is footage from Religious To Damn’s show last night at Union Pool, as well as their new music video. “Black Sand”, the song that closed out the night, was a live premiere and is included in our video montage. After the jump: A video edit of Man’s Gin
Tamaryn and Mirror Mirror played at MoMA PS1 last weekend. As part of the museum’s “Saturday Sessions” both bands played to a packed house in a gallery space on the 3rd floor. Furthermore, Thunder Horse created unique video projections for this performance, which added tremendously to Tamaryn’s already mesmerizing set. Video edits from both Tamaryn’s […]
Shoegazers Tamaryn and Religious to Damn were at the newly ‘renovated’ Don Hill’s last night. Funny enough the place doesn’t look like it received a make over at all. It is now sporting a faux CBGB’s style. Tamaryn will also be at PS1 this Saturday for a free 4pm show. Religious to Damn can be […]
