Thankfully, no one was injured:
The popular Brooklyn Flea was shut down Sunday afternoon after two large pieces of metal began dangling precariously from a building across the street, sources and witnesses said.
The 5-foot by 10-foot pieces of metal were spotted dangling off of 34 N. 7th St., near Kent Avenue, just after 11:30 a.m., the FDNY said. That apartment building known as the Edge is across the street from East River State Park, where the popular flea market is held.
The street remained closed for hours, but was reopened at roughly 5 p.m. Fire officials said that there were no reports of injuries
