Brooklyn Electronic Dance Round Up: November 23rd/24th

So you’ve stuffed yourself stupid and spent all your dough on shoes and hardware supplies just for the Black Friday discount. But don’t despair! This weekend, North Brooklyn has you covered. There are still three solid events going down tonight and tomorrow that are sure to have you drunkenly celebrating the days off from work.

Let’s start with the promoters The Interstellar Pig who have something a little lighthearted in store tonight. With a line up including JAW JAM [Tuff Wax | Symbols], Doctor Jeep [Freshmore], Tony QuaTTro [T&B | Bad Taste], and a SPECIAL GUEST it’s time to kick off your shoes and do a little footwork. Cameo Gallery has this eclectic showcase drawing you in to a whirlwind of UK Funky, R&B, Bass Music, House, and just all around positive vibes. Door price is $5 and the whole thing kicks off at midnight.

Next it’s Agree2Disagry who have put together the perfect line up for those bass heads. From france, they will have Yah Yawi and Rohmi beginning off the night with an exclusive set of funky tunes to kick off their NYC debut. Then good friend, Arthur Kimskii (of Tar & feathered) will take to the decks. As one half of the futuristic house crew Point Break, Arthur is well versed in techno history and knows what it takes to keep a dance floor moving. The whole night will then be wrapped up with the BlkMarket Membership honcho himself, Fahad. As someone who has shared the stage with the likes of AME, Ben Klock, Barem and Marco Carola, Fahad is a true professional when it comes to deep, old school techno and house. you can RSVP to for location info $20 til 2AM, $25 after 10PM-LATE.

OK, so now it’s Saturday and your still reeling from the night past. It’s time to take things a little left field. Back from a brief european tour with Ital (100% Silk), Aurora Halal will be curating an epic night of “Dark Pleasures” with another Mutual Dreaming event at 285 Kent.

Earlier this summer, Aurora found herself at an amazing reggae club under a train arch in Brixton, London. At 5am, the room was superfogged and pitch black, jammed with an ecstatic crowd dancing to unrecognizable acid, heavy funk, Belgian nu beat, trance, industrial, italo and techno. These two DJs were none other than Joe Hart and Andy Blake.

It’s Mutual Dreaming’s offering to Brooklyn by flying these two guys out for one night only. Opening the event with be local yoga guru and member of Splash the Band, Jan Woo. Visuals will also be on display from Jared Spafford and Aurora herself. 10PM-4am 285 Kent $12. This one is not to be missed!
