Big Boi vs. The Black Keys: A Mashup Album

December 23, 2010 By Matt Flint

A fair argument can be made against mashup albums. It’s easy to put together two artists of different genres and instantly seem like it is a product of deep insight and forethought. But the fair argument can also be made that this is a fun batch of songs to listen to. So…go ahead and argue.

Wick-It the Instigator mashed up Big Boi’s amazing Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty and The Black Keys Brothers to create the EP The Brothers of Chico Dusty. It’s kind of funny, and I can only hope deliberately self-effacing that the first track samples Big Boi’s “Ain’t No DJ.” Stream it below or download it here.

Why would you call them the The Black-Eyed-Keys? It’s The Black Keys and Big Boi, not The Black Keys and The Black Eyed Peas.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
