Fall is just around the corner, so you know what that means! Yes, the Pumpkin Spice Latte will be back to make our lives a bit more basic . . . but that’s not what I’m talking about. Thankfully, you’ll be able to offset some of the impending seasonal blase with the triumphant return of the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival.
From October 12 through 14, the annual independent music event will inhabit the borough’s most popular clubs and non-traditional venues with label showcases, curated stages and much more. In addition to performances from a variety of house and techno’s finest, attendees will also have a rare chance to sit in on industry panels, explore a brand new “record fair” and pop-in for special events, all in celebration of BEMF’s 10-year anniversary.
Whether you’re a fan of headlining names like Green Velvet and Gorgon City, or you simply want to discover who’s turning heads in the underground, BEMF is sure to deliver. The Phase 1 lineup shows great promise with one of the most diverse lineups to date. BBC Radio host Pete Tong, trap diva TOKiMONSTA, and Dirtybird Records all-star Justin Martin are already piquing our interest. Clubs like Analog BK, Output, Good Room, House of Yes, Music Hall of Williamsburg and Villain will participate as venues, with more warehouse locations TBA.
So grab some friends, score a badge and prepare to get schooled. There are currently a limited number of festival passes available at a very reduced price HERE.
