My Social List and Sixpoint have partnered on their second free beach show at Rippers down at Rockaway Beach; the aptly titled Back to The Beach, which will take place on Saturday, August 10. If you were at their July 4th blowout, then you already know what to expect: free live music from some of the best Brooklyn bands around, delicious burgers and dogs and crisp and refreshing Sixpoint beer all served up at Rippers on Beach 86th street.
Some new regulations have forced organizers to push the start time for music back to 6 p.m., but never fear, they’re still going to rage hard with Heliotropes, Dead Stars, Quiet Loudly, Eastern Hollows, The Meaning of Life and The Veda Rays.
This might even be better; you’ll be free to enjoy a nice, relaxing day on the beach. Then, once dinner time rolls around, you can head on up to Rippers for a burger (and cheese fries, let’s be real) and some prime jamming. Don’t worry about your commute back! The folks at Rockabus are big fans of Back To The Beach so they’ve added two late night buses which will run at 10 p.m. and 1 p.m. from the Playland Motel, the awesome new boutique motel up on Beach 98th Street.
