Nice one Henry. If this is what’s called “aging with dignity” I’d rather be dead tomorrow. This is worth a watch just to hear Rollins accuse someone else of having a massive ego. (Note: yep, that’s Todd P sitting next to Meredith.)
On Monday Kylesa played a last minute show at Public Assembly. Coinciding with the release of their new album titled “Spiral Shadow”, the band performed selected tracks from said release, alongside more familiar back catalog material. One of the new songs (Forsaken) is featured in our video edit of the show below. .
While CMJ shows fired away at heart attack inducing frequency, Zachary Cale brought it down a notch at the Hunter’s Moon Rooftop Hang. Set inside a giant plastic bubble, built by Bentley Anderson on his Williamsburg rooftop, Cale treated his audience to about a half an hour of his signature line of compositions. A video […]

A positively reckless crowd turned the East Williamsburg Industrial Park location into a roving pit during the sets of local favorites like Ninjasonik, The Death Set and Team Robespierre. You are curious as to what Williamsburg looked like in the early and gritty 80’s? In his 1983 exploitation classic ‘Vigilante‘, director William Lustig shot a major chase scene at McCarren Park Pool. Other neighbor locations that can be seen in the movie are McGuniness Boulevard (definitely) and the Kent Street area (I think). Vigilante […]
After having played a crowded Old Firehouse in Manhattan the night before, Grass Widow destroyed at Brooklyn’s packed and fairly muggy Monster Island Basement on Tuesday. Apparently the A/C had died just before the show, setting a toasty sauna vibe throughout the night. My two cents on this: Air conditioning is for old people anyway. […]

A video edit of said show featuring the songs ‘Shadow’ and ‘Uncertain Memory’ off of their new album ‘Past Time’ can be found below, along with details for tonight’s outing at Monster Island […]
