The moron behind #Twinks4Trump is hosting a pro-Trump art show in Williamsburg on Saturday

ugh

That’s right, the dipshit behind #Twinks4Trump, Lucian Wintrich, is hosting an event with an all-star cast of racists, dipshits, and sewer trolls including Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McInnes, Martin Shkreli, David Angelo, Francis Legge, James O’Keefe, the Godesky Brothers, Jon Proby, Sebastian Sommer and, perhaps, a real life Nazi or two. Sounds like a great reason to leave town. Ugh. When will this nightmare of an election be over?!

The opening for #DaddyWillSaveUs will be held at 191 North, 14th Street, Brooklyn, New York October 8th starting at 8pm ET.

Headlining speakers and contributors for the opening include outspoken gay conservative Milo Yiannopoulos and Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes. Additional contributors include Martin Shkreli, James O’Keefe, the Godesky Brothers, Jon Proby, Sebastian Sommer, and more!! [Read more…]

Report: Brooklyn is the most unaffordable place to live in America

3telm5

Yay! We beat San Franciso and Manhattan. There’s really no news here for anyone trying to buy in Brookyn, but at least we’re number one! Ugh:

A person earning the average salary in Brooklyn cannot afford the average home there — even if he or she could spend his entire salary (and then some) on housing, [Read more…]

Mister Dips airstream is serving burgers and ice cream at the William Vale

A photo posted by Mister Dips (@eatmisterdips) on

We’re still waiting for Leuca to open but, in the meantime, we have Mister Dips to keep us company:

It may not have the spectacular views of the The William Vale’s 22nd floor Westlight bar—a component of Williamsburg’s newest hotel—but the 15,000 square-foot promenade known as “Vale Park” is still an exceedingly pleasant place to hang out, with its grassy rolling “hills,” picnic blankets, an herb garden, wooden terraces and cafe tables. And, as of today, Andrew Carmellini’s burger and soft serve stand, Mister Dips. [Read more…]

bushwick-open-studios-2016

And if you’ve never attended, it’s a must. As mentioned, the dates were pushed back from June to October with hopes that there would be less of a “frat vibe”. It’s Bushwick, so there will be bros, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying some great art!

Bushwick Open Studios (BOS) is an arts and culture festival hosted October 1-2, 2016 by the volunteer-run organization Arts in Bushwick. Most studios are open 11am – 7pm on Saturday and Sunday of the festival. [Read more…]

Bill Murray will be bartending this weekend at the restaurant formerly known as River Styx

bill

The popular Greenpoint restaurant closed a few weeks ago and is now reopening as a more upscale Greenpoint 21. Murray’s son Homer is a partial owner:

Syd Silver and Homer Murray are transforming the Brooklyn space that housed their restaurant River Styx into 21 Greenpoint, a more upscale dining spot. “We wanted to change it up,” explains Murray. “We made it prettier, renovated the dining room, added a new bar, and updated the kitchen.” The food, he says, will be seasonal and exclusively from local farms. “We try to use seconds like tomatoes or carrots that farmers can’t sell because they don’t look as good but they still taste great and are high quality. Then we make them look pretty.” [Read more…]
