Bill Murray took his dying Williamsburg neighbor to dinner

January 7, 2014 By Josh Morrissey

When Murray was living in 475 Kent last summer, he was an excellent Williamsburg neighbor. From NY Times: Either way, the building remains a big draw for the high-achieving creative set. […]

Has Bill Murray revealed himself to you in Williamsburg?

August 5, 2013 By Josh Morrissey

I became one of the chosen on July 13th, 2011 at around 2AM. I was standing in line to go to the bathroom at The Commodore when a familiar face walked towards me. Like a lot of New Yorkers my first thought wasn’t “that’s someone famous!”, but more “That person looks familiar, maybe he was […]

In it, we learn he remembers everyone’s names, stands up as ladies take their seat, and he will beat his chest if the meal is roasted duck. But most importantly, we […]

Williamsburg’s BrisketTown is shutting down on Sunday

Sad news for BBQ lovers, but the popular south Williamsburg restaurant is getting pushed out by developers “intent on knocking down the building.” At least we’ll still have Fette Sau and Mable’s (for now). The owners of Delaney BBQ posted a statement this morning on Facebook: In 2012, when I had the wacky idea to […]

Greenpoint's River Styx is closing on Sunday

August 11, 2016 By Robert Lanham

We’re going to miss their nachos — which were some of the best in the city. Maybe there will be a Bill Murray spotting at the closing party – which happens on Sunday. His son is a partial owner, after all. From their website: We regret to inform our beloved guests that after 3 years […]
