Beyond tonight, we have not announced any other events at 285 Kent, though there may be others in the future.

According to a tweet from Ric Leichtung, 285 Kent’s curator, the DIY music venue might be closing its doors after last night’s show. The end of the venue’s lease is nearing and 285 Kent might be added to the list of Williamsburg staples forced to leave the neighborhood due to ever climbing rents. Outside of the Twitter post, Leichtung has not confirmed or denied the rumors publicly.
Update, via Gothamist:
Todd P tells us the rumors that 285 Kent is closed for good are “not true.” But Leichtung confirmed last night via Twitter that there are no gigs booked at the venue in the foreseeable future.
